Tottenham had a perfect weekend in the Premier League, thrashing Aston Villa as their top four rivals all lost.
Either side of winning 4-0 at Villa Park, Spurs watched on as Wolves, Manchester United, Arsenal and West Ham all went down.
Only Arsenal even scored, as a fine period for Antonio Conte continued with nine goals in two matches now, following on from the 5-1 win at home to Newcastle.

The Evening Standard report that Conte told his players he would reward them for a win at Villa with an extra day off.
That meant that Harry Kane booked a trip to see the end of the Masters and jetted off to America straight after full-time.
He made the arrangements in advance of the game and Spurs’ performance justified his confidence and earned the squad an extra day’s rest.

A greater period of rest without European football in midweek is really helping Conte and Tottenham out at the moment.
That is reflected in their form and they are the ones who are in the driving seat for the Champions League right now, playing the best football.
The key is keeping it going now, and that is what none of the sides in the top four chase have really managed to do thus far this term.
