Manchester United goalkeeper André Onana has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford in recent weeks.

Onana joined United from Inter Milan, arriving with a strong reputation built on his outstanding performances in Italy.

However, he has had a difficult time at Manchester United so far, with his performances riddled with errors.

In fact, no Premeir League goalkeeper has made more errors leading to goals since the start of last season than Onana, with eight recorded so far.

His most recent blunders came against Lyon in the Europa League quarter-final, where the Cameroonian international was at fault for both goals conceded in the first leg.

The poor showing led to the manager benching him for the following match, and recent reports suggest that Ruben Amorim is ready to sell Onana in the summer.

Saudi Pro League eyeing move for Man United star Andre Onana

Saudi Pro League clubs have been actively pursuing several Premier League goalkeepers, with Manchester City star Ederson and Liverpool number one Alisson Becker among those targeted.

Now, it appears that Andre Onana is their latest focus.

According to the latest report from FootMercato, Saudi Pro League side Neom have made contact with the representatives of the Manchester United goalkeeper.

The report claims that the Saudi PIF funded mega rich club has ‘already begun major discussions’ with the Onana’s entourage.

It further claims that Onana himself is keen on making the move away and would be open to a move to Saudi Arabia.

Man United looking to bolster their goalkeeping department

The Red Devils have already begun looking for replacements for Onana, with several names linked so far.

Burnley goalkeeper James Trafford has previously been linked with United, with reports stating that the club has enquired for him.

Another goalkeeper who has been linked with a move to Old Trafford is Espanyol star Joan Garcia.

It has been stated that Man United made contact with Garcia last Sunday to make an offer, moving in first in hopes of beating Arsenal to his signature.
