Everton new boy Conor Coady has claimed that fellow summer signing Ruben Vinagre is a really quiet boy and has urged him to speak up more now.
In a move that not many people saw coming at the start of the transfer window, Everton completed the signing of Coady from Wolves on a season-long loan deal yesterday.
The 29-year-old Liverpool-born centre-half has been absolutely amazing for Wolves over the years. He has been a real leader at the back for them, and his quality will surely benefit the Toffees this campaign.
Coady has a few familiar faces at Everton – one of them is his old pal from Wolves, Vinagre.
Conor Coady says Everton new boy Ruben Vinagre is really quiet
Everton signed Vinagre on a season-long loan deal from Sporting Lisbon this summer, and he really is a very interesting signing. He’s still only 23, knows the English game fairly well and he’s a quality player on the ball.
He could prove to be a very good signing for the Toffees, and Coady, who knows him really well thanks to their time together at Wolves, has branded him as a ‘fantastic’ player. However, he wants the young full-back to come out of his shell.
Coady told Everton’s official website: “I’m trying to get Vinagre to speak!
“I’ll be honest with you already, I was trying to get him to speak and come out of his shell, because he’s a quiet lad. He’s a fantastic footballer and a brilliant professional.”

TBR View:
Everton are looking like a solid team now.
James Tarkowski and Coady at the back in front of Jordan Pickford is a really formidable back three. Both Vinagre and Vitaliy Mykolenko are exciting options at left-back, while Nathan Patterson looked bright against Chelsea on the opposite side.
Amadou Onana and Idrissa Gueye, if those deals go through, are phenomenal options in the middle of the park as well.
If Everton can strengthen a bit in attack, they could surprise a few people this season, but the most important thing for them will be to keep it clean at the back – Coady will have to play a big part to achieve that.
