Conor Bradley has not put up the fight Liverpool fans expected for the starting right-back spot after Trent Alexander-Arnold departed for Real Madrid.
The 22-year-old broke through the ranks at Anfield during the 2022/23 campaign and spent his first two years in the senior squad deputising for Trent.
Jeremie Frimpong arrived in a £35 million deal from Bayer Leverkusen this summer, but Liverpool have a clear plan for Bradley to be the first-choice option on the right side of the backline.
However, he has not performed anywhere near the required standard to be considered a success this season, and now his long-term future could be under threat.

Liverpool are eyeing a move for Under-20 World Cup star Dylan Gorosito
TBR Football understands that Liverpool are monitoring full-back Dylan Gorosito ahead of a potential move following his impressive displays for Argentina at the Under-20 World Cup.
Currently plying his trade at Boca Juniors, Gorosito has helped lead his country to the final in Chile where he will face Morocco on Sunday.
The Reds have been keeping close tabs on the tournament and will have representatives present for the final alongside the biggest clubs in the world at the Estadio Nacional Julio Martinez Pradanos.

Indeed, Bradley has been “outstanding” for Northern Ireland throughout the international break but his displays for Liverpool have left a lot to be desired.
And although Frimpong has also massively underwhelmed thus far, the Dutchman’s future is under no immediate or long-term threat having only just arrived at Anfield.
Bradley has been considered the ideal Trent replacement for some time, and at times last season when he deputised in the Scouser’s absence, supporters even questioned whether he was the better option.
Therefore, should the Reds opt to pursue Gorosito in future transfer windows that would be a clear indication of where Bradley’s long-term future lies.
Conor Bradley must realise his potential at Liverpool
The Northern Ireland captain is facing the most pivotal season of his career and must start showcasing the form he has shown over the past two years more consistently.
Liverpool are all too aware of the player Bradley could become at Anfield, but it is up to him to realise his potential and nail down his place in the starting line-up ahead of Frimpong.
Michael O’Neill, Bradley’s international manager, once praised his captain for his dedication and work ethic to BBC Sport, serving as a reminder to the player of what he needs to do.

“We’ve got a really special young player who can only continue that way. His attitude to the game is maybe his biggest attribute, he just loves to play.
“He trains that like that, he always trains at his maximum, and I think at times the other younger players feed off that.”
