Connor Goldson has raved about the current form of his Rangers teammate Nikola Katic.
The duo have played alongside each other at centre-back throughout this season, while Joe Worrall as been another frequent face in the backline.
Katic has been in and out of the XI with 29 games across all competitions, but has completed 90 minutes in the last four consecutive league matches.
The Croatian is a no-nonsense centre-back that is dominant in the air and has a real presence in defence.
His chances of more minutes will increase when Joe Worrall exits from his loan spell and he does have a blossoming partnership alongside Goldson.
Goldson believes that teammate Katie has been in excellent form of late next to him.
“Nikola has done really well and has settled straight back in. He is playing his own game, and when he does that, he is a top player,” Goldson said, as quoted by the club’s official Twitter account.
Katic has had a mixed first season at Rangers as it draws to a close, but there is definitely another positive to suggest he will be a key player to come in Steven Gerrard’s team.
The 22-year-old has all the traits to succeed as a leader at Ibrox and the current run of starts at the end of the season will give him real momentum going into next year.
He cost the Scottish club just £2million (Scottish Sun) to sign last summer and that could turn out to be a bargain buy in the future.
