There are conflicting reports over the future of Ademola Lookman this weekend. Everton’s talented young winger seems destined to return to German side RB Leipzig this summer. Lookman enjoyed a successful loan spell with the club in 2017-18 and has been on their radar ever since.
The Daily Mail seem to think the deal is in the final stages. They reported this weekend that a £22.5 million deal has been agreed and Lookman is set for a medical in the next 48 hours to make the move.
However, the news in Germany is less positive. Bild are suggesting that Everton and Leipzig are still some distance apart on a price-tag for the player.

They state the two clubs are still ‘far apart’ regarding an initial fee for the player. Leipzig’s reported €20 million (£17.9m) starting price before add-ons is not considered enough by Everton.
Hopefully, a compromise can be found soon.
Everton have clearly made the tough call that they are better off with the money from a Lookman sale compared to gambling on his obvious talent.
Leipzig are clearly very keen to take advantage of that fact and the player just wants regular football next season.
Whilst Bild may be suggesting a delay, this still looks like a deal that must go through during the summer.
