Confirmed Liverpool line-up v Norwich: Kaide Gordon and Conor Bradley make senior debuts
Liverpool will hope to continue their impressive start to the 2021-22 campaign tonight in the League Cup.
The Reds, who have won five and drawn one in all competitions this term, are up against struggling Norwich in the third round.
Liverpool sit joint-top of the Premier League table with four wins, one draw, 12 goals scored and one conceded – all the same as Chelsea.
Meanwhile, the Reds’ opponents tonight sit bottom of the league with five losses from five.
However, Norwich ran out 6-0 winners over Bournemouth in the second round of the competition.
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has now named his starting XI and subs’ bench for the game at Carrow Road, which is as follows:
The big news is that academy stars Kaide Gordon and Conor Bradley make their senior Liverpool debuts.
Caoimhin Kelleher is in goal, with Ibrahima Konate, Joe Gomez – who captains the side – and Kostas Tsimikas alongside Bradley in defence.
The midfield is made up of Naby Keita, Curtis Jones – who makes his 50th appearance – and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
Finally, Gordon is alongside Takumi Minamino and Divock Origi in the front line.
Two more academy gems, midfielder Tyler Morton and forward James Balagizi, are on the bench.
