'Very harsh': Leeds fans baffled as Bielsa leaves out Struijk for Liverpool clash
Leeds United take on Liverpool at Elland Road in the Super Sunday game and Marcelo Bielsa has named his starting XI for the clash with the Reds.
The Whites are yet to win this term, having drawn twice and lost once in their three outings so far. But with new signing Daniel James on the books, there is a buzz of excitement that today could be a big day for the club.
After being so impressive last season, Bielsa’s Leeds side have, so far, failed to get to the heights they displayed. But a home clash with Liverpool is the ideal chance to get going, and Elland Road will be packed out.
Bielsa has opted for a familiar look to his starting XI. For James, he is forced to wait for a debut and is on the bench.
Naturally, Leeds fans have been having their say on social media about the latest XI, and it seems some are baffled by Bielsa’s choice to leave James out, while some feel Pascal Strujik has been harshly left out.
Here, then, is what some Leeds fans had to say as Bielsa named his XI to face Liverpool today.
Liking that. Harsh on Struijk but Coops doesn’t really deserve to be dropped either. Good options now with DJ, Shack and Klich from the bench
