Confirmed Leeds line-up v Fulham: Summerville starts, Gelhardt on bench
Leeds United are in League Cup action tonight, the Premier League Whites up against Championship opposition.
Marcelo Bielsa’s charges are up against Fulham, who suffered relegation from the top flight last season.
Leeds are in need of a confidence boost, given they haven’t yet won in the Premier League this season.
The Elland Road outfit has drawn three and lost two of their first five top-flight games in 2021-22.
Leeds’ only win so far this season has come in the League Cup, a 3-0 win over Crewe on 24 August.
By contract, the Cottagers are in good form, sitting second in the second tier after five wins and a draw from their first eight games.
The west Londoners beat Birmingham 2-0 in their League Cup second-round match.
Bielsa has now named the Leeds starting XI for the meeting with Fulham, which is as follows:
Crysencio Summerville makes his first start for Leeds following his debut against Newcastle last time out.
Young central defender Charlie Cresswell, meanwhile, makes his long-awaited second appearance for the Whites.
However, impressive academy talent Joe Gelhardt has to make do with a spot on the bench.
Rodrigo starts up front for the Elland Road outfit, with Tyler Roberts in behind the Spaniard.
Illan Meslier remains in between the sticks, with Kristoffer Klaesson having to make do with a spot on the bench.
Leeds starting XI: Meslier, Shackleton, Firpo, Dallas, Phillips, Cresswell, Summerville, Klich, James, Roberts, Rodrigo
Leeds subs: Klaesson, Hjelde, Drameh, Forshaw, McKinstry, Gelhardt, Greenwood
