Arsenal want to sign Dusan Vlahovic from Fiorentina but according to Fabrizio Romano, any sort of deal remains a long way off.
Reports last week emerged to suggest the Gunners were in talks with Vlahovic over a mega-money January transfer. It was claimed a fee in the region of £68m could be agreed for the Serbian to move to North London.

However, since then, nothing has progressed. Tottenham remain keen on Vlahovic, as do Juventus. And further to Arsenal’s interest, it’s also been suggested Vlahovic’s agent isn’t actually taking calls for his client just yet.
And according to respected transfer guru and journalist, Fabrizio Romano, a move to Arsenal for Vlahovic is complicated.
Vlahovic is one of the hottest attacking properties on the market at the moment. He hit 21 goals last season and has carried that form into this term, with eight goals in 12 games already.
Arsenal are, seemingly, intent on replacing both Alex Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. Both are over 30, and both have big wages at the club.
Vlahovic, it seems, would be the perfect long-term replacement.
TBR’s View: Arsenal should stick at it with Vlahovic
You get the impression this one is going to go into January and maybe even the summer months. It’s clear Dusan Vlahovic wants a move to one of Europe’s elite clubs. However, who he ends up with, is open for debate.
For Arsenal, it’s vital they keep themselves in the mix. This is a player who is simply too good to miss out on. Indeed, Vlahovic has been lauded for his ‘incredible’ work-rate previously. Certainly, that is something this Arsenal team needs at the top of the pitch.
It’s exciting times at Arsenal at the moment. The summer was successful and the likes of White and Ramsdale looks shrewd signings. If the Gunners add Vlahovic, then a top four push could be firmly back on.
