‘Complete trash’: Aston Villa fans destroy Neil Taylor after QPR defeat

Neil Taylor completed 90 minutes in the defeat to QPR on Friday night – and some Aston Villa fans on Twitter annihilated him for his individual performance.

The left-back was part of the side that lost 1-0 on the road to QPR in the Championship, as Pawel Wszolek’s first-half goal separated the teams.

Dean Smith has now lost two of his opening three games in charge of the Midlands club since arriving from Brentford and watched his side miss a host of great opportunities in front of goal on Friday.

They remain 16th in the league table after another disappointing result and have to start becoming more clinical if they are to have any real ambitions of competing at the top.

A selection of Villa fans decided to vent their frustration at defender Taylor after the game and believe he was well off the pace at Loftus Road throughout.

The 29-year-old Welshman has managed to break back into the starting XI under Smith and is perhaps showing some signs of rustiness after spending some time on the sidelines under Steve Bruce.

He is a left-back that is still trying to rediscover his best form and needs to start showing more intent going forward.

Here are a selection of Villa tweets on Taylor following his latest display:
