Collymore says Gabriel Jesus needs to join Chelsea over Arsenal
Stan Collymore has told the Sunday People (12/6; page 57) that Gabriel Jesus should move to London this summer, but needs to join Chelsea over Arsenal.
Jesus looks set to leave Manchester City in the coming weeks. And it has seemed that Arsenal are on pole position to complete what would possibly be a £51 million deal.
Personal terms with the Gunners have reportedly been all but agreed. However, Mikel Arteta is not the only Premier League manager looking to sign the Brazilian in this window.

Reports claim that Jesus is aware that Tottenham want him. Meanwhile, he has also been offered the Chelsea. So Arsenal face some hefty competition trying to sign the 25-year-old.
And Collymore has implored the striker to make the move to Stamford Bridge instead of heading to the Emirates.
“If I was Gabriel Jesus, I’d be heading to London this summer but joining Chelsea, not Arsenal,” he told the Sunday People (12/6; page 57).
“I’m not convinced Mikel Arteta could be trusted to get the best out of him if he hasn’t fulfilled his potential under Pep Guardiola.
“But at Chelsea he could be the fox in the box I’ve talked about them needing, he could be the player Romelu Lukaku was promised to be but wasn’t.”

Gabriel Jesus needs to join Chelsea over Arsenal
Collymore has made no secret of the fact that he is not a huge fan of Arteta. While Arsenal were battling for a place in the top-four this past season, the pundit insisted that they would get across the line by sacking Arteta and replacing him with Patrick Vieira.
Ultimately, Arsenal did fall short. But Arteta has still done an excellent job at the Emirates.
The comments from Arsenal’s critics about how much they have spent seem ill-informed. They did not sign the likes of Aaron Ramsdale, Ben White and Martin Odegaard to be the finished article this past year.
Arsenal have invested in their future. And Arteta has helped improve a number of players.
And if Jesus is prepared to go to Arsenal over the Champions League offers on the table, then he clearly sees Arteta helping him take his game to the next level also.
