Seamus Coleman has stated that Everton are right to have kept the faith with manager Marco Silva despite some tough periods this season, according to TalkSport.
Silva was brought in to oversee an attacking revolution at Goodison Park after the dour days of the Sam Allardyce era but it has not been a straight-forward transformation.
The late defeat in December’s Merseyside derby caused a wobble for Everton but a battling display in Sunday’s return fixture shows that the players are still playing for Silva.
Those actions on the pitch speak louder than words but Coleman said: “You can’t just keep chopping and changing managers, it doesn’t work.”

“I know in today’s business that’s what people want after four or five bad results, but you’ve got to give people time to get their own players in and implement their own style of play.
“There will be good times and bad times. It’s going to take a season or a season-and-a-half for managers nowadays to get their own balance right.”
Coleman’s speaking a lot of sense here but Silva will be buoyed by the way that a senior player has come out in support of his ideas, understanding that he needs time to get them across.
What Silva must do now is get his side producing more performances like Sunday’s on a regular basis and prove that he is a manager who can implement change in a period that extends beyond months.
