Of all of Liverpool’s summer signings, Jeremie Frimpong is the one who should settle in the easiest.
Indeed, Jeremie Frimpong should take to life at Liverpool like a duck to water.
Frimpong already knows many of the Liverpool squad as the likes of Ryan Gravenberch, Virgil van Dijk and Cody Gakpo are already his international teammates, while Arne Slot is also his fellow countryman.
On top of that, Frimpong will be able to settle in the north west of England easily having grown up in Manchester.
Frimpong has already earned praise from Ryan Babel, and now, speaking to Sky Sports, Cody Gakpo has also hailed the right-back, particularly for his pace.

Cody Gakpo says Jeremie Frimpong is crazily fast
Gakpo spoke about Frimpong and his attributes.
Importantly, Gakpo noted that Frimpong is a great person to be around, while he also couldn’t help but touch on the fact he’s ridiculously fast, claiming that his pace is unbelievable.
“He’s a great guy. I think everyone will like him. He’s a very professional guy but also a very fun guy for the dressing room, so there will be no problem. He’s unbelievably fast, like, he’s crazy fast,” Gakpo said.
“Also, technically, if you saw some goals of his, very good goals, good assists, good crosses.”
How fast is Jeremie Frimpong
Gakpo says Frimpong is ridiculously quick, and he’s not wrong.
Indeed, the numbers show that Frimpong may well be the fastest player at Liverpool.
The Speeds Database’s numbers suggest that Frimpong is absolutely rapid.
| Liverpool’s fastest players | Top speed |
| 1. Darwin Nunez/Jeremie Frimpong* | 35.4 km/h |
| 2. Mohamed Salah | 34.4 km/h |
| 3. Joe Gomez | 34.4 km/h |
| 4. Ibrahima Konate | 34.21 km/h |
| 5. Andy Robertson | 33.8 km/h |
Darwin Nunez is about to leave Liverpool, and when that deal goes through, Frimpong will be the fastest player in the Liverpool squad.
Speed can be such an important attribute for a full-back, and Frimpong should be able to make a serious impact at Liverpool from that right-back position this season.
Who knows? Perhaps Trent Alexander-Arnold’s attacking contributions won’t be missed all that much from right-back next season.
