'He's top drawer': Conor Coady has just raved about Everton player who is 'incredible'

Everton fought back at Southampton today to win 2-1 and make it two wins on the bounce for Frank Lampard’s side.

Goals from Conor Coady and Dwight McNeil in quick succession ensured Everton picked up a crucial win against the Saints, who were left to rue a fine performance from Toffees goalkeeper Jordan Pickford.

And speaking of Pickford, goalscorer Coady was straight in to praise him after the game, insisting the England goalkeeper is simply ‘incredible’.

“He’s top-drawer, I’ve spoken about him a million times even before I’ve come to the club, about how incredible a keeper is,” Coady said after the game (BBC).

“When we lose him, he’s a massive miss – when Asmir Begovic came in he did fantastic but you saw what Jordan brought today, he’s an outstanding keeper and long may that continue for us.”

Coady has been one of the standout performers for Everton since making a surprising move from Wolves this summer.

Pickford, of course, will be looking towards maintaining his fine form and leading England into Qatar. Despite the likes of Dean Henderson and Nick Pope breathing down his neck, Pickford is widely regarded as being the main man in the Three Lions goalkeeping stakes.

TBR’s View: Pickford And Coady What Everton Needs

Coady brings the experience Everton needed at the back and Pickford is now bringing his England form consistently to the table.

This was a massive win for the Toffees today and there was certainly a lot to like about how they came from behind to take the win in the end.

Coady is right to praise Pickford, who is certainly one of the very best in the league right now.
