Nathaniel Clyne returned to the Liverpool side for the first time this season and produced an impressive display to help his team beat Manchester United.
Liverpool triumphed 3-1 over Man United at Anfield with Sadio Mane and a Xherdan Shaqiri double trumping Jesse Lingard’s first half equaliser.
But ahead of the game, Liverpool fans would have been worried by their injury crisis.
With Joe Gomez, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Joel Matip injured, Jurgen Klopp was forced into selecting a makeshift back four.
Andrew Robertson and Virgil Van Dijk have been mainstays in the starting line-up but there were rare starts for Dejan Lovren (at centre-back) and Clyne (at right-back).

But Clyne’s solid but unspectacular display might be enough to earn him a Liverpool reprieve.
The former England international has been out injured and the rise of Alexander-Arnold in his absence has seen his return to action delayed.
And on his first game back, he was tasked with aiding Liverpool’s attacks and keeping Marcus Rashford quiet on the counter attack.
Without doing anything too special, the 27-year-old went about his job quietly and effectively.
Clyne has been linked with a January loan exit. According to The Sun, Fulham and Cardiff City want him.
But this performance may have convinced Klopp that Clyne still has something to offer Liverpool this season.
