Leeds could now lose a star man after he was shortlisted as a potential replacement for an Arsenal target.
Transfer season is well and truly upon us after UEFA Euro 2024 ended, with Arsenal set to announce the signing of Tommy Setford from Ajax shortly, while a deal to sign Riccardo Calafiori should also go through for the Gunners.
So, which Leeds star could now leave Elland Road to replace a player wanted by Arsenal? Let’s take a look…
Rennes want Leeds No.10 Crysencio Summerville to replace Arsenal target Desire Doue
A story from Foot Mercato in France now claims that Rennes want Crysencio Summerville to replace Desire Doue.
It comes after TBR Football exclusively revealed that Arsenal want to sign the Rennes No.33 this summer.
Rennes are preparing to lose Doue – who is also attracting interest from PSG and Bayern Munich – and are now ready to compete against Chelsea to sign Summerville.

The Dutchman is likely to leave Elland Road after Leeds failed to win promotion back to the Premier League, with Foot Mercato stating that Daniel Farke’s side want at least €20m (£17m) to sell.
In regards to Doue, a story from L’Equipe claimed that Rennes want £50m for the 19-year-old this summer.
Mikel Arteta would surely love to have the 19-year-old at the Emirates Stadium
Since taking over from Unai Emery, Mikel Arteta has often used players in several different roles at Arsenal, seemingly focusing on those who boast strong versatility.
For example, the Spaniard has used Oleksandr Zinchenko in an inverted midfield role at times as well as a natural left-back, while Ben White has been turned from a central defender into a marauding right-back.
Declan Rice has also been used as both a No.6 and an attacking No.8 under Arteta, so Doue – who can play anywhere across the attack – could be a dangerous weapon for Arsenal if a move happened.

The teenager played in six different attacking positions for Rennes last season – as Transfermarkt shows – meaning Arteta can deploy him in numerous roles, depending on what fits best against certain opponents.
Be sure to keep an eye on this situation, as Arsenal could bring Doue to north London this summer.
