Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with Juventus loanee Matias Soule in recent weeks.

For instance, Calciomercato reported in December that Spurs have been eyeing the 20-year-old since the summer.

Italian journalist Fabio Santini has now reported that Juve are actively looking to sell Soule to Spurs next year.

He spoke to TV Play about the Serie A club’s potential outgoings in 2024, and the Argentine prodigy is apparently one who could come off the books.

As well as Tottenham, Crystal Palace are mentioned as a club that could potentially sign Soule in the New Year.

“Juventus are working hard on two important midfield profiles,” said Santini.

“They had already come very close to Koopmeiners in June with a €40m offer and in January it could go up to €45m with the sales of Iling-Junior and Yildiz.

“They have never let go of the track leading to Berardi and would like to sell Soulé for €20-25m (£17-21m) to Crystal Palace or Tottenham.”

Tottenham target Matias Soule ‘can really produce magic’

Spurs could certainly do with bolstering their attacking ranks in January, particularly when it comes to left-sided players.

Tottenham currently have Manor Solomon and Ivan Perisic on the sidelines, and their injury crisis has hampered their season.

Soule certainly fits the Spurs profile. He’s young, extremely talented, has a bright future ahead of him, and has already proven himself at Serie A level.

He went out on loan to Frosinone this season where he has become ‘one of the best players in all of Serie A in 2023-24’, according to FootballTransfers.

Soule has registered an impressive six goals and one assist from just 13 Italian top-flight outings.

Jacek Kulig of Football Talent Scout previously described the reported Spurs target as a ‘Messi-esque’ talent who ‘can really produce magic’.

Tottenham have done pretty well with players from Juve. Let’s see whether Soule is next on the list to go on to shine at N17.
