‘Three or four more signings’

Despite some impressive signings already this window and a reported debt of over €1bn according to Forbes, Laporta has signalled the club’s intention to bring in more players this summer.

The Barcelona president said: “There will be three or four more signings. We’re going to make a very competitive team. We’ve already seen it with the additions of Eric Garcia, Aguero and Emerson and the other players who are on the verge of signing.”

Although Laporta is ambitious in his words with what Barcelona can do this summer, it will be impressive if the club hadve the funds to make a move on any of City’s players.

Whilst the pull of the La Liga giants is alluring, Barcelona will struggle financially to sign Manchester City’s best players this summer.
