Arsenal have reportedly reached an agreement to loan out a player with an obligation to buy clause worth £6m.
The Gunners have burst into life in the summer transfer market with the north London side subject to a flurry of activity in regards to incoming and outgoings, with Arsenal closing in on deals for Riccardo Calafiori and Dan Bentley.
With a number of Arsenal players also linked with moves away from the Emirates Stadium, the squad clearout that supporters had been hoping for seems to finally be underway, with Mikel Arteta keen to trip the team to allow new players to come in.
And it seems like one Arsenal player is now set to finally leave the club for good this summer.

Arsenal reach agreement with Lazio to sell Nuno Tavares
According to Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla, Serie A side Lazio have reached ‘total agreement’ with Arsenal to sign Nuno Tavares on loan with an obligation to buy in 2025 worth €7m (£6m).
Pedulla wrote on Twitter: “Tavares: Total agreement Lazio – Arsenal loan with obligation to buy at around €7m. Now the final agreements with the agents are needed.”
With Tavares spending the last two seasons out on loan, Arsenal selling the Portuguese defender has been on the agenda for quite some time, with the fullback yet to really make much of an impact in north London since signing in 2021.
Once praised as ‘brilliant’ by Garth Crooks, Tavares leaving Arsenal will be a welcome relief for Arteta and supporters, with the Gunners also set to pocket a decent fee for a player who hasn’t performed in the last 12 months.

Arsenal are finally getting a good deal in selling an unwanted player
Arsenal’s history in selling players who are deemed unwanted or surplus to requirements has been poor, to say the least, with Arteta selling the likes of Mesut Ozil, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Shkodran Mustafi for absolutely nothing.
Which is why the £6m sale of Tavares will be viewed by most fans and pundits as a good deal for Arsenal, with the Gunners just about breaking even on the £7m they paid to sign the defender from Benfica in 2021.
Indeed, Tavares could have gone for a bit more had Arsenal pushed, yet with £6m on the table, the Gunners are getting a decent deal for a player who is clearly in need of a change of scenery this summer.
