VfL Wolfsburg are reportedly working on offering David Odogu a professional contract after claims that Arsenal are interested in signing the defender.
The 17-year-old prospect is regarded as one of the most exciting talents in Germany, with numerous Premier League sides now interested in signing Odogu.
And Arsenal are no exception, with the Gunners keeping tabs on the Germany youth international, who is yet to make his senior debut for Wolfsburg.

However, according to the Daily Mail, the Bundesliga side are now working on awarding Odogu his first professional contract in an attempt to scare off potential suitors.
As per the report, Arsenal are joined by Brentford, Chelsea and Championship side Leicester City in the race to sign Odogu this year.
Indeed, Odogu signing a professional contract with Wolfsburg would be a massive blow for Arsenal and their long-term transfer plans, which is why the Gunners need to pounce now for the teenager.
Arsenal have to take action now to sign David Odogu

A member of Germany’s U-17 FIFA World Cup winning squad last year, it’s pretty clear that Odogu is a player with some serious potential.
And for Arsenal, missing out on the defender would be viewed by many as quite the blow, especially when Odogu’s exciting potential is taken into account.
With rival clubs already circling the defender, Mikel Arteta needs to start putting in the work now to sign Odogu, who could be a sensational long-term addition to Arsenal’s ranks this January.
