Club now ready to sell World Cup star for just £17m, after claims Tottenham want to sign him - Romano
Tottenham bolstered their defensive options over the summer after bringing in Clement Lenglet from Barcelona.
Antonio Conte’s men were linked to the likes of Alessandro Bastoni and Josko Gvardiol, but eventually settled for Lenglet on a season-long loan deal.
Spurs will seemingly be in the market for another centre-back over the next two transfer windows, especially if Lenglet returns to Spain.
Italian outlet Roma Giallo Rossa reported this week that Tottenham are ready to rival AS Roma for Kiwior’s signature.
The Polish international has been in impressive form at the World Cup and it seems he is now attracting interest from a host of clubs.
Spezia ready to sell Kiwior
Romano claims that Spezia will demand around £17 million for Kiwior next summer and are hoping to keep hold of the centre-back in January.
The 22-year-old was approached by West Ham last summer but Spezia had no intention of selling the player at the time.
And Spurs will face a battle to sign the defender, with a host of Serie A clubs interested.
Kiwior has been putting in some impressive displays in Italy and has carried his form into the World Cup.
The Poland star produced a solid display as his side drew 0-0 to Mexico in their World Cup opener earlier this week.
Spurs do seem slightly short at the back, even after bringing in Lenglet over the summer.
Cristian Romero’s injury earlier this month has highlighted the need for Tottenham to bring in another ball-playing centre-back.
Kiwior is showing brilliant promise in Italy and is now impressing on the world’s biggest stage in Qatar.
Conte will undoubtedly be keen to bolster his defensive options and Kiwior could be a smart addition for Spurs.
