Leeds United have been busy strengthening their ranks this summer as they look to hit the ground running in their first season back in the Premier League.
The Whites have confirmed the signings of Jaka Bijol, Gabriel Gudmundsson, Sebastiaan Bornauw and Lukas Nmecha so far.
In addition, Newcastle United’s Sean Longstaff is set for a move to Leeds after a deal was reportedly struck earlier this week.
Now, Sky Sport Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg has reported that fresh talks have taken place between Leeds and another one of their targets.
Better still, the feeling around the player’s club is that he will be on his way to Elland Road, according to Plettenberg.

Hoffenheim insiders back Anton Stach to join Leeds United
The player in question is Hoffenheim’s Anton Stach, who is reported to have agreed personal terms with Leeds.
Hoffenheim and Leeds remain in discussions and, on Wednesday evening, Plettenberg reported that new talks have taken place.
Stuttgart have also held talks over Stach, but “the feeling at Hoffenheim is that Stach is set to join Leeds,” claimed the journalist.
Plettenberg reiterated that Hoffenheim want around £17million plus bonuses for Stach.
Stach was involved in Hoffenheim’s latest friendly, coming on in the second half of their 11-0 win over district league side Sportfreunde Lauffen.
What Leeds fans can expect from Anton Stach if he joins
Opta stat man and Leeds fan Jonny Cooper recently reported on how Stach has a superb record in the Bundesliga for interceptions, tackles, possession won, and duels won.
And when Stach joined Hoffenheim from Mainz in 2023, TSG managing director Alexander Rosen told the club’s media team: “Anton is a very variable midfielder who is strong both defensively and offensively and has many special skills.
“He has a strong physical presence, is a willing runner with a burst of pace and excels in duels.
On top of all that, with his good passing, dynamic dribbling and excellent shooting technique, Anton is always able to make things happen in the final third.
“In short: he is a player who will help us in every phase of the game.”
