Tottenham Hotspur fans look set to find out soon whether Spurs have succeeded in their reported late swoop for Victor Osimhen.
The Lille ace enjoyed a superb season last time out, claiming 18 goals and six assists in 38 games in all competitions, while his Ligue 1 tally stood at 13 goals and five assists from 27 games.
L’Equipe claimed earlier this week that Osimhen is on the verge of completing a move to Napoli for €81million (around £73million).

However, RMC Sport editor Mohamed Bouhafsi claimed on Tuesday afternoon – as translated by Football London – that, while, a switch to the Serie A side is close, there’s still some uncertainty.
Now, Lille CEO Marc Ingla is quoted by Sky Italia as saying that Osimhen has “made his choice” and is definitely leaving the club, with just the last few details of the transfer being ironed out.
“We’re at the final stages for Osimhen’s transfer,” said Ingla. “There were other clubs but the player has made his choice. We think it’s a shame having to sell him but he is leaving.”
TBR View:
Osimhen showed last season that he is a high-calibre player and seemingly destined for a higher level, hence it’s little surprise that he has been linked with the likes of Spurs, Arsenal and Liverpool.
Admittedly, most sources seem to be of the opinion that the Nigeria international is Napoli-bound, but you never know, stranger things have happened in football than last-minute changes of heart and surprise transfer announcements.
