Fabrizio Romano claims that Tottenham Hotspur could have their first signing wrapped up within days, as per his comments to Chris Cowlin’s Youtube channel.
Tottenham are in negotiations to land Takehiro Tomiyasu from Bologna as they look to bolster their defence.
And it seems that Spurs are also negotiating with other players over a potential transfer news.
Romano says that most of Tottenham’s targets are known at this stage.
However, there is a mystery player who is not yet public who Tottenham are also closing in on grabbing.
“We are potentially close in some days, maybe one week. They are working on many players. One is public, one not,” he said.
“But I would keep an eye on centre-backs and in particular Tomiyasu because now they are working on it, Paratici is working to sign Tomiyasu.”

A solid start
If Tomiyasu is to be Tottenham’s first signing, then it could be a good way for Fabio Paratici to get started.
With Tottenham in need of strengthening defensively, the Japanese international could be an ideal fit.
Tomiyasu can play at both right-back and in central defence, which are both positions where Spurs struggled last term.
If the 22-year-old, who is said to be valued at £17 million, does arrive then he is likely to go straight into Tottenham’s starting line-up under Nuno next term as a result.
