Rangers have been linked with Eamonn Brophy. According to TEAMtalk, Rangers are ready to bid for Kilmarnock striker Brophy with Leeds United and Derby County also keen.
Steven Gerrard is worried about Alfredo Morelos’ disciplinary record. And with Kyle Lafferty’s future in doubt, one or two new strikers could be on their way to Rangers.
Brophy has been identified as a potential target. He scored 12 goals in all competitions last season and has now earned a call-up to the Scotland national squad.
Steve Clarke, who has just left his post at Killie to take the Scotland job, rates Brophy highly and has picked him for the national team.
The 23-year-old is still young and is now finding his feet in the Scottish Premiership. He has a total of 20 goals in 64 Kilmarnock games after scoring eight in 76 for Hamilton Academical.
Rangers could be the next destination for Brophy. Gerrard is reportedly considering a move for the Scottish striker to give him another option up top.
After hearing these rumours, Rangers fans flocked to Twitter. Here are the best tweets discussing a possible move for Brophy.
Going to end up clogging the squad with average players. We should be using our youth players as back up and using all our money for a few top players.

You have to be kidding – nowhere near the level of player we require to challenge Celtic.

Does he not hate us though?
I think we should go for the number 9 at Brentford
And Lewis holtby then just a more experienced centre half is needed

I agree mate, think he is a decent player and still young but I’d rather give hardie a chance if I’m honest
