Clinton Morrison has sent a warning to Arsenal and England international winger Bukayo Saka.

The former Crystal Palace forward and BBC Sport pundit has said that Saka should get used to being targeted by opposition players.

So, what has Clinton Morrison said about Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka? Let’s take a look.

Warning sent to Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka

Well, Clinton Morrison has been speaking about Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka, and the former Crystal Palace forward has noted that the 22-year-old comes in for some rough treatment from opposition players.

The BBC Sport pundit has said that Saka, whose value has sharply risen over the past 12 months, simply has to get used to it. Morrison has described the England international winger as “an outstanding player” and has backed him to cope with the rough challenges he will face.

Morrison said about Saka on BBC Radio 5 Live: “If you’re getting kicked all over the place, it means you are a good player. And that’s what Bukayo Saka is – an outstanding player.

“It’s a contact sport. These players are going to get targeted. Saka is one of the best players in the Premier League at the moment so he is going to get targeted. Saka is strong enough to take it.”

My View: Saka will rise to the occasion

There have been reports that Arsenal are not happy with the referees seemingly not protecting Bukayo Saka. The Gunners believe that the winger is being targeted by opposition players.

Now, that may well be the case, but I think that is part of the game. Football is a physical and contact sport. Saka will just have to deal with it.

Of course, referees should punish the rash and wrong challenges, but at the same time, officials should not ‘protect’ certain players even if they are young.

Players, such as Saka, will just have to get used to it. And I believe that the England international winger, who struggled against Liverpool in the FA Cup this past weekend. will rise to the challenge and not be too bothered by the challenges that he will face.
