'Clear of prime Salah': Some Spurs fans laud ex-Mourinho signing after 'insane' display yesterday

Former Tottenham star Gareth Bale has kicked off the season in fine fashion as the attacker hit a hat-trick for Wales over the weekend.

The Real Madrid forward was key to Robert Page’s side securing all three points over Belarus. Wales went 2-1 down against the eastern European side before Bale completed his hat-trick to claim a vital away win.

Two penalties and a stoppage-time winner were enough for Bale to seal his hat-trick and the three points for Wales. The winger will be key to the Dragons if they are to qualify for next year’s 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Bale was re-signed by Spurs last season by Jose Mourinho on loan from Real Madrid. The attacker impressed whilst back in north London despite fitness issues that kept him from starting most games for Tottenham.

Yet under Carlo Ancelotti at Real Madrid, Bale has found his place again with the Spanish giants. The winger has already bagged a goal for Los Blancos with the Italian manager now back in charge.
