‘Classic Levy’: Some Spurs fan rage as report claims key figure was ‘stiched up’ ahead of new arrival

Tottenham technical performance director Steve Hitchen was reportedly unaware that the club had approached Fabio Paratici.

According to Football London, the former chief scout only knew about the appointment of the former Juventus sporting director until late in the process.

As per the report, the treatment of Hitchen, who is popular within Tottenham, has left a number of staff and players unhappy. However, the club want the 44-year-old to remain with the north London side going forward.

Moreover, Paratici will oversee all footballing activities in a general manager role for Tottenham as reported by the Athletic. Yet despite this progressive decision from the club, supporters on social media were mad over how Hitchen was treated over the process.

The former chief scout has been key to Tottenham’s success over recent years in both qualifying for the top-four as well as competing in the UEFA Champions League.
