‘Class recognising class’: Some Spurs fans love Ossie Ardiles’ comments on £70k-a-week ace

Tottenham Hotspur legend Ossie Ardiles has taken to Twitter to praise Spurs ace Giovani Lo Celso, prompting some Lilywhites fans to respond on the platform.

The 24-year-old joined Tottenham in the summer of 2019 on an initial loan before the move was made permanent in January for a reported £27.2million fee.

Lo Celso initially struggled to get into the Spurs side but became a key player for Jose Mourinho at the start of the year.

However, the past few months have seen him in and out of the squad due to injuries, and had to make do with a bit-part role at the start of the current campaign.

Indeed, even after scoring in the Europa League win at Ludogorets, Mourinho said Lo Celso’s physical condition was not good due to his lack of pre-season.

The past few weeks have seen the Argentine’s form improve massively, culminating in a superb display for Tottenham in Thursday night’s Europa League win over Antwerp.

And Ardiles believes the £70,000-a-week ace is getting better and better:
