Sunderland progressed to the final of the EFL Trophy last night, beating Bristol Rovers 2-0 to book a Wembley date with Portsmouth.
Goals from Will Grigg and Lewis Morgan did enough to see Sunderland to victory at The Memorial Stadium and they will now compete for silverware.
But it was Grant Leadbitter who seemed to impress most Sunderland fans with his tidy midfield performance.
Jack Ross brought Leadbitter back to The Stadium of Light in January and he left Middlesbrough to return to his local club.

Chester-le-Street-born boyhood Sunderland fan Leadbitter spent seven years with the Black Cats between 2002 and 2009 and now he is back.
Sunderland fans took to social media to praise the 33-year-old, who kept things ticking over in the centre of the park.
Leadbitter will now play a vital role in Sunderland’s promotion push as they aim to head back to the Championship as well as fighting for the EFL Trophy.
Below are several opinions from Sunderland fans, who were left astonished by a complete midfield performance from fan favourite Leadbitter.
