Clarke Oduor has signed fresh terms at Leeds United, extending his stay with the Yorkshire outfit.

Leeds confirmed on the club’s official website that Oduor has signed a new one-and-a-half year deal, keeping him at Elland Road until summer 2020.

The Whites also have an option to trigger a further one-year extension until the end of the 2020/21 season.

Leeds are clearly investing in their youth and Oduor is an impressive young talent.

The 19-year-old has already made his first-team debut and will be eager to be given more opportunities in Marcelo Bielsa’s side.

But Leeds must now direct their focus on tying down another promising teenager in Jack Clarke.

The 18-year-old is enjoying a very successful breakthrough season in the Leeds first-team, racking up 17 senior appearances so far.

Clarke has scored twice and picked up two assists in those games, leading to widespread attention in January.

Manchester United, Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur, Crystal Palace and Southampton were all linked with Clarke in January, according to The Sun.

But Leeds need to ensure they keep their academy graduate for the long-term future as he has the potential to become a special player.

Now that Oduor’s contract extension has been sorted, Leeds’ next priority must be Clarke.
