Clarence Seedorf believes he would be able to slot into the current Liverpool team and impress.
Seedorf remains one of the greatest players ever to grace the pitch and lifted the Champions League with three different clubs, Ajax, Real Madrid and AC Milan.
He remains the only superstar to have achieved that remarkable feat, and his winning pedigree ensured he was renowned around the world during his illustrious 22-year career.
The 49-year-old was technically gifted and physically strong at his peak, but clearly still thinks he has what it takes to perform at the highest level.

Clarence Seedorf says he could still play for Liverpool
Asked by Prime Video Sport on TikTok to name which current Champions League club he would choose to play for, Seedorf cheekily hedged his bets slightly.
He did, however, name-drop both Liverpool and Manchester City, albeit with a wry smile.
“I think I could, with my style of play, I would be able to fit in the top five teams, I would say,” he said.
“Whether it would be Liverpool, Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain or Real Madrid, it would all work.”
Seedorf was almost untouchable during his heyday and became one of the most decorated players in history. He also earned 87 caps for the Netherlands, scoring 11 goals.
Liverpool, meanwhile, got off to a winning start in the Champions League this season after beating Atletico Madrid, but they surprisingly lost their second match against Galatasaray.
Clarence Seedorf on Ryan Gravenberch
An iconic midfield maestro, Seedorf has kept a keen eye on Liverpool’s recent exploits, and he has been particularly impressed with the progress of Ryan Gravenberch at Anfield.
“Everybody is unique. Ryan started early. He is the one who broke my record at Ajax as the youngest player to make his debut. That comes with great responsibility,” Seedorf told FUTBin in September 2023.
“He’s on the way, I believe in him, I think he can make a great career. Just let him take his path. Everyone has their own destiny.”
While Liverpool may lack a midfielder in the same vein as Seedorf in his prime, they should have more than enough in their engine room to win at least a couple of trophies this season.
