The jump up from League Two to the Championship is sizeable but Dean Smith could be tempted if Anwar El Ghazi continues to disappoint.
And looking to the long-term future, a hungry young player like Hamilton – who is proven in the lower leagues – could be a better option than those who are dropping from the top flight and declining with each game they play.
