‘Circling like vultures’, ‘understandable’: Some Leeds fans react to update shared by club

A number of Leeds United fans have taken to Twitter to give their thoughts on the Whites’ Championship fixture at Blackburn Rovers being moved for live television coverage.

Marcelo Bielsa’s charges were originally scheduled to make the trip to Ewood Park on Saturday 4 April, but will now kick off at 7:45pm on Friday 3 April as Sky Sports have decided to broadcast the game.

Leeds are currently second in the Championship table, five points clear of third-placed Fulham and just one behind leaders West Bromwich Albion, while Blackburn are eighth, three points off the playoff places.

With the promotion race hotting up, it’s little surprise that a game between a side challenging for the top two and one hoping to edge into the playoffs has been picked for live coverage.

Some Leeds fans aren’t happy with yet another fixture being moved, particularly with relatively short notice, while others are pleased with the chance to pick up points ahead of the bulk of games being played the following day.

Here is some of the social media reaction from the Elland Road faithful:

Up next for Leeds is Saturday’s Championship clash with Huddersfield Town at Elland Road.
