A number of Leicester City fans have taken to Twitter to laud Jonny Evans for his superb performance in Thursday night’s Premier League hammering of West Bromwich Albion.

The veteran defender has been in amazing form this season and delivered once again as Brendan Rodgers’ charges ran out 3-0 winners at the King Power Stadium.

Defensively, Evans was a rock as always, timing his tackles superbly and not giving the opposition a sniff, while on the attacking front, he weighed in with his first goal of the season.

Jamie Vardy opened the scoring on 23 minutes, ending his goal drought after great work from Youri Tielemans and Timothy Castagne.

West Brom were two down within minutes when a right-wing corner found its way to Evans via Callum Robinson, enabling the Northern Irishman to head home.

Kelechi Iheanacho made it three in the 36th minute after Vardy turned Dara O’Shea inside out and set up his strike partner for the finish.

All in all a great day at the office for Leicester and, while there was praise for all the players, Evans was deemed one of the best performers on the night.

Here’s what some fans were saying about the £80,000-a-week ace on social media:

Leicester’s victory takes the FA Cup finalists four points clear of West Ham in fifth, while the beleaguered Baggies stay on 24 points, nine behind Burnley in 17th.
