Liverpool defender Ibrahima Konate played 45 minutes on Thursday night as the Reds beat Arsenal to reach the Carabao Cup final.
The 22-year-old started on the bench but Jurgen Klopp brought him on to replace Joel Matip at half-time.
Matip was struggling in the first half and, according to Klopp, was “not 100 percent right”.

Konate marshalled the defence well in the second half and saw a header crash off the post in the 59th minute.
Although he picked up a booking, he nonetheless did really well, helping the Reds record a clean sheet.
At the other end, Diogo Jota got both of Liverpool’s goals, with Trent Alexander-Arnold assisting him both times.
Konate took to Instagram after the game to celebrate the Liverpool victory:
And one of the responses came former RB Leipzig teammate Christopher Nkunku:

Nkunku’s comment translates to “soon the first goal, it’s heating up”.
Konate is yet to score for Liverpool but came close against Arsenal, rattling the woodwork.
As well as being a compatriot and former teammate of Konate, Nkunku has also been linked with Liverpool.
Reports from Spain – as shared by the Liverpool Echo – have suggested that Klopp has been eyeing the 24-year-old.
Last year, the Echo also claimed Nkunku would be a good fit as a future Mohamed Salah replacement.
If Liverpool were to move for the French forward, Konate could certainly take him under his wing.
