Former Italy striker and Serie A legend, Christian Vieri, has claimed that Tottenham striker Harry Kane is a ‘more complete’ English striker than Premier League legend, Alan Shearer.
Vieri enjoyed a stellar career in the game and knows a thing or two about hitting the back of the net and leading from the front. The Italian hit over 200 goals in his club and international career.

Kane, on the otherhand, has become the talisman of English football in recent years. Captain of his country and now in the form of his life at Spurs, the 27-year-old has been nothing short of sensational.
And after surpassing 200 Spurs goals in recent weeks, Vieri now believes Kane is the best English striker.
“He is the only Englishman who is not English (in his playing style). He has technique and sees the game,” said former Inter Milan and Atletico Madrid superstar Vieri,” the Italian told a Q&A session on his Instagram page.
“They say that Shearer was the strongest English striker. I can agree – but Kane is the most complete.”
Such comparisons are bound to come and given Shearer’s greatness and standing in English football, it will be nice for Kane to hear such comments from legends of the game.

Vieri is certainly in that bracket and his praise will resonate nicely with the Spurs skipper.
Wise words from a legend and correct – TBR View
Of course, Alan Shearer is superb. Goals galore and an absolute powerhouse, he is the household name in terms of strikers in English football history.
However, Kane is getting right there. The only concern is, like Shearer, Kane might end up not winning the trophies he perhaps warrants.
With a bit of luck, Tottenham can land success under Jose Mourinho and Kane will get some medals around his neck.
