Christian Eriksen responded to his former Tottenham Hotspur teammate Harry Kane on Twitter after the striker posted a reaction to the Nations League draw.
Eriksen left Tottenham Hotspur Stadium during the January transfer window.
The Dane’s future had been the subject of speculation for some time. But those rumours were finally put to bed as he joined Inter Milan.
But it appears that a reunion with a number of his old Spurs teammates is on the cards.
The 2020/21 Nations League draw pitted England against Denmark, Belgium and Iceland.
And that prompted Kane to express his excitement about the competition.
Some great games coming later in the year. All focus on the Euros first ! 🦁🦁🦁 https://t.co/mjVlrDLmSm

There also seemed to be a positive hint from the Spurs man as he mentioned the European Championships ahead of the summer.
Kane is currently sidelined with injury. And England fans will be keeping their fingers crossed that he will return in time for the tournament, and his message may perhaps be an encouraging sign.
And in response, Eriksen issued a little response to his former teammate with his Denmark side now preparing to take on the Three Lions in the competition…

Of course, the two nations could meet during this summer’s tournament anyway. So perhaps the Nations League may not see the first time Kane, Dele Alli and Eric Dier amongst others come up against Eriksen following his January exit.
