Kylian Mbappe is leaving PSG this summer, and one club that has, perhaps bizarrely, been linked, is Arsenal.
The Gunners have been mentioned in connection with Mbappe in recent weeks, and it has to be said that these links are strange.
Arsenal are, of course, a huge club, but this is the type of signing that the Gunners haven’t been linked with for at least 25 years at this point.
Mbappe is arguably the best player on the planet, and logic suggests he’s going to be headed to a team like Real Madrid, Barcelona or Manchester City – a true financial powerhouse.
Speaking on the It’s All Kicking Off Podcast, Chris Sutton has been discussing Mbappe’s links to Arsenal, and he was shocked to even hear Mbappe’s name mentioned in the same sentence as the Gunners.

Chris Sutton shocked by Arsenal’s links to Kylian Mbappe
Sutton spoke about Arsenal and the links to Mbappe.
“I was very intrigued by Mikel Arteta’s comments about potentially signing Kylian Mbappe,” The host said.
“What? Little Arsenal? I’m joking a little bit about little Arsenal, but you don’t think Mbappe would be a good deal? It doesn’t matter how much he would cost. I’m not a financial expert, but how could Arsenal afford that?” Sutton said.
Surely not
Sutton has every right to be shocked by these links.
Mbappe is the very biggest name in world football right now, and players like that, historically, don’t go to Arsenal.
As big of a club as the Gunners are, they don’t get these gigantic stars, and a move to one of Spain’s biggest clubs or one of the richest clubs in the world such as Man City would make more sense.
This would be probably the biggest coup if Arsenal’s history if they managed to pull this one off.
