The Scottish Premiership title race is on according to Chris Sutton. As Celtic dismantled Hibs and Rangers struggled against Hearts, the Sky Sports pundit fired a warning to the Ibrox club last night.
Celtic were imperious against the Easter Road side as they kept their eight-point lead at the top of the table intact.
A double from Hyeongyu Oh and goals from Matt O’Riley and Luis Palma kept Hibs at bay as Brendan Rodgers’ side heeded the weekend warning from their manager.
But as Sutton watched Rangers struggle against Hearts, he had this warning for his old foes.
Sutton said [Sky Sports], “This period of games they come thick and fast until the break. It’s a really important period of games.
“Celtic haven’t been at their very best, Rangers need to make sure that they don’t drop silly points. They did drop silly points against Aberdeen.
“I think there’s a title race on this season, I really do.”
Chris Sutton makes an excellent point about Celtic
The former Celtic striker is absolutely bang on. Rangers will need to be at the top of their game because, despite Celtic’s form not being at their usual high standard, they are still unbeaten in the league.

Rodgers’ team have also been to every tough away ground in Scotland and won whereas Rangers have been to Pittodrie and Tynecastle in the past two weeks and dropped points already.
With Phillipe Clement still to take his team to Motherwell and Celtic this month the danger of further slip-ups is still there. Especially at Celtic Park.
Celtic, however, have Hearts and struggling Livingston to contend with at home and a tricky away tie to Dundee but with the team looking galvanised last night, it looks like Celtic are set to kick on and start to turn the screw on the rest of the league.
