Chris Sutton believes that West Ham star Tomas Soucek doesn’t get enough credit for his ability on the ball.
Soucek, 26, is one of the standout individuals for West Ham. In addition, he’s a mainstay for Czech Republic at international level.
The defensive midfielder seems likely to start tonight in Czech Republic’s match against England at Euro 2020. Therefore, he could be in direct opposition with Hammers teammate Declan Rice.
Soucek is a powerhouse midfielder with a real presence in the centre of the park. But, he’s great at chipping in with goals, too.
He netted 10 Premier League goals during the 2020/21 season.
Pundit Sutton has given praise to the West Ham ace ahead of Czech Republic against England.
“He’s a big threat when ghosting late into the box and is underrated on the ball. Good all-rounder. England know what he can do,” Sutton wrote for the Daily Mail.

Soucek irreplaceable at West Ham
For £19.1million (BBC), West Ham landed a bargain in Soucek.
The midfield colossus epitomises the side that Hammers boss David Moyes has built at the London Stadium. Czech Republic teammate Vladimir Coufal is another West Ham player who fits a similar aggressive mould.
It would be so difficult trying to find someone that offers as much as Soucek.
The all-action midfielder is so dominant in both penalty boxes. On the other hand, his composure and quality on the ball is overlooked.
