Chris Sutton has told BT Sport’s Champions League highlights show (BT Sport 3, Wednesday, 10am) that Juventus star Paulo Dybala ‘would have been brilliant in a Spurs shirt’ after he notched a stunning brace for the Italian champions.
The Daily Star claim Spurs could still be offered Dybala in the January transfer window, after the £65million-rated ace came close to securing a move to north London. Image rights and £350,000-a-week wage demands scuppered a move.
Dybala has since worked his way back into Maurizio Sarri’s side, and the 25-year-old was absolutely crucial in Juventus’ 2-1 Champions League win over Russia outfit Lokomotiv Moscow on Tuesday night – which saw Juve come from behind to win.
Aleksey Miranchuk gave Lokomotiv the lead, only for Dybala to thunder a stunning effort from 25 yards into the top corner – before lashing home an effort first time to win. Sutton believe he would have been an excellent signing for Tottenham.

TBR’s view – Spurs have got to do everything to go back in for Dybala
If the reports are true that Spurs are still monitoring Dybala’s situation at Juventus, then Daniel Levy must do everything within his power to land the Argentina international.
The Star’s report claims Juve still need to offload some players and Dybala could be one of those in order to trim their hefty wage bill. His form for Juve, especially on Tuesday night, is enough proof that at £65million, he would be an excellent signing.
