Arsenal attacker Kai Havertz has received praise from Chris Sutton following his impressive upturn in form.
Sutton, writing on BBC Sport, was eager to laud the Gunners man, saying he has done well to shake off criticism and become a key player.
Arsenal signed Havertz from Chelsea last summer for a reported £65million, but it took him a while to find his feet at N5.
The 24-year-old was lacking in confidence following a difficult stint at Stamford Bridge. Sadly all too predictably these days, criticism came his way as he struggled initially.
Now, things have clicked for Havertz, and he is well and truly flying.

He has eight goals and three assists for the season, including three goals and two assists in his last three league games.
Goal.com gave him an impressive 9 out of 10 rating for his efforts in the 6-0 win at Sheffield United on Monday night.
They wrote: “His goal was taken well and the player once devoid of confidence has now scored in three successive Premier League games. Set up White for his goal too.”
Kai Havertz has ‘proved a lot of those doubters wrong’
Arsenal are next in action against Brentford in the Premier League on Saturday evening, and Sutton has predicted a 3-0 win for the Gunners.
Speaking specifically about Havertz, he said: “There are a few Gunners players who have impressed me recently but I think Kai Havertz deserves some praise.
“He was dug out a bit at the start of the season when people questioned why they had signed him, but he has turned into a key player and has proved a lot of those doubters wrong.”
It’s great to see Havertz finally gelling with the team and showing the kind of form that made him such a highly sought-after player when he was at Bayer Leverkusen.
Havertz’s efforts have helped the Gunners surge back into title contention after wobbling during the festive period. They’ve won their last eight in the league and have been scoring plenty too.
