Chris Sutton criticised Tottenham after their away defeat to RB Leipzig on Tuesday night in Europe, while also having a sly dig at their manager Jose Mourinho.
Spurs were knocked out of the Champions League in the last 16, as they were unable to repeat their run to the final from last season.
After losing 1-0 in the first leg at home, Jose Mourinho’s side were beaten 3-0 at Leipzig in midweek to end their European campaign for another year.
Marcel Sabitzer scored two quick-fire goals in the first-half to put the German team out of reach, plus Emil Forsberg came off the bench to add a third on the night.
Pundit Sutton reacted on Twitter to the Spurs exit from the Champions League and had a dig at Mourinho, who has publicly expressed his frustration at his side’s poor injury luck.
They offered very little over two legs against an impressive Leipzig outfit, but were without Harry Kane, Heung-Min Son and Steven Bergwijn for the second leg.
Spurs have gone backwards under Jose… Leipzig miles ahead and they cost far less to put together… wonder which excuse will be used tonight ??

Mourinho is a man under pressure at Spurs right now after quick exits in both the Champions League and FA Cup recently, which is why they now really need to do their best to get in the top four of the Premier League.
They now have a clean run in the league from now until the end of the season and they have to try somehow claw back a seven-point cushion to Chelsea in fourth.
Spurs were outclassed by Leipzig in Europe over two legs to leave them with plenty to ponder and they definitely need some defensive improvements going into next season.
