Tottenham Hotspur take on Chelsea at Stamford Bridge tomorrow and Chris Sutton has just delivered his prediction.

Both Spurs and Thomas Tuchel’s side picked up wins on the opening day of the new Premier League season last weekend. Tottenham were fantastic against Southampton, while Chelsea were made to work hard by Everton.

A London derby between Chelsea and Tottenham is always a massive game. Fans of the two clubs just don’t like each other, and both sides will want nothing but a win when they face off tomorrow.

Spurs have an awful record at Stamford Bridge, but Sutton still believes Antonio Conte’s men will pick up a victory.

He told BBC Sport: “Chelsea love playing Spurs – they beat them four times last season, and Tottenham have only beaten them once in the league at Stamford Bridge since February 1990. Spurs boss Antonio Conte was in charge of Chelsea for that defeat – in April 2018 – but I have a sneaky feeling he will enjoy this meeting a lot more.

“Chelsea got a good win at Everton, but the way they got it was not particularly pretty. If they are slightly off it again on Sunday, they won’t get away with it. Tottenham, meanwhile, were devastating in attack against Southampton and I am expecting more of the same from them here.

“Add in Conte going back to Stamford Bridge, and I am going to go with Spurs to take the points. They took the game to Saints anyway, but they also counter-attack so well when that turnover happens. When they get the ball into Kane with runners off him, they are so hard to stop.

The confidence around Tottenham recently has been as good as ever.

Conte has well and truly revolutionised Spurs. Supporters really believe this side can go on and achieve something special this season, and tomorrow will be their first big test.

Chelsea looked really poor against Everton last weekend. Apart from the penalty they were awarded, there was not much to separate the two sides, and Thomas Tuchel wouldn’t have been happy.

At Stamford Bridge tomorrow, if the Blues put up a performance as poor as last week’s, Tottenham could really hurt them. Conte would want nothing more.
