Chris Sutton has picked out his concern about Celtic defenders Kristoffer Ajer and Boli Bolingoli after the defeat to Rangers.
Ajer, 21, is a youngster that has already played 116 senior games for the Scottish giants and become an established player in recent years.
The Norway international is a towering centre-back with a big presence, but he struggled against Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos.
Meanwhile, Bolingoli is the first-choice left-back at Parkhead and the 24-year-old found it difficult against Joe Aribo in the Old Firm derby.
They are both regular starters under this season under manager Neil Lennon and struggled in the weekend’s disappointing defeat to Old Firm rivals Rangers.
Celtic suffered a 2-1 home loss against Rangers in the Scottish Premiership, which means their lead at the top of the table was cut going into the winter break and the title race is certainly alive this season.
Pundit Sutton picked out two defenders that are a worry for the Scottish champions after the wake-up call of a defeat to Rangers.
“Another striker is an obvious one but they also need to look at other areas of the team. Kris Ajer is still not the finished article, there are still concerns over Boli Bolingoli,” Sutton wrote in the Daily Record.
It’s certainly not the time to panic after just one defeat to Rangers, but there is no doubt Celtic are fully in a title scrap this season and will have to be at their best to defend their top-flight crown.
There could be a strong case to argue the Bhoys go searching for recruitments in January to strengthen them and should be keeping an eye out on any potential deals.
Lennon does still have a strong squad at his disposal though that can bounce back, with Ajer and Bolingoli both proving on their day they can be valuable assets in the backline.
