Chris Sutton believes that Tottenham have been handed an easy draw in the Europa League knockout rounds.
Spurs will face Austrian side Wolfsberger in the Round of 32 of the UEFA Europa League when it resumes in February.
After winning their European group, Jose Mourinho’s side have been handed a favourable tie in the first stages of the knockouts and it’s a competition they are considered one of the favourites to win.
Meanwhile, the North London club are sat top of the Premier League table and will be focusing on domestic games during the next couple of months.
Sutton has predicted Spurs to ease past Wolfsberger when they meet in the two-legged contest and pointed out that manager Mourinho will even be able to rest star centre-forward Harry Kane.
“An absolute gimme for Tottenham and Jose Mourinho! Wolfsberger are seventh in the Austrian league,” Sutton told the Daily Mail.
“Mourinho likes to complain about Harry Kane being overused. I’m not even sure Kane would be needed for Spurs to beat these opponents.
“I tipped Tottenham to win the Europa League at the start of the season. They should walk into the next stage.”

TBR’s View:
Spurs will be hoping their strong start in the league continues and if they are still in the mix in the New Year they may seriously have to start considering themselves as title contenders, but the European campaign is a great opportunity for them to be successful.
They could have Premier League teams Arsenal and Leicester City to deal with further down the line in Europe, plus there are also the likes of Napoli, Ajax and AC Milan that will feel they are serious contenders to win the Europa League.
Mourinho will have to balance his squad accordingly when the competition returns and there is quite the drop off from his best XI.
