Tottenham Hotspur have enjoyed a solid season, making huge progress from the disappointing 2022-23 campaign.

Spurs finished a lowly eighth last term, missing out on Europe altogether. However, they’ve been flying high this season and will fancy their chances of Champions League qualification.

Admittedly, Tottenham did lose to Wolverhampton Wanderers last time out. Spurs have also had to wait two weeks to return to Premier League action.

Now, Tottenham will be raring to go as they host Crystal Palace at N17 in a 3pm kickoff on Saturday.

Chris Sutton, writing on BBC Sport, previewed and predicted Spurs’ upcoming game. He also made a U-turn regarding their top-four hopes.

“Tottenham are still chasing a Champions League spot and, if they get it, it would represent a magnificent season,” he wrote. “Especially when you think about the way they finished the previous campaign.

“I didn’t give them a chance of making the top four at the start because I thought it would take a while for Ange Postecoglou to implement his ideas, but that has happened quicker than I expected.”

Sutton went on to predict a resounding 3-0 win for Tottenham over Palace.

Ange Postecoglou working wonders at Tottenham

It’s astounding how quickly Postecoglou has turned things round at Spurs. Indeed, this has been recognised at the London Football Awards as he beat Arsenal’s Mikel Arteta to the Manager of the Year award.

Tottenham will fancy their chances of securing a top-four finish. However, even if they don’t, there’s a good chance they’d get Europa League football, and that will no doubt attract more top players who’ll want to be part of an exciting project.

Already we’ve seen Tottenham beat the likes of Bayern Munich and Barcelona to players (Radu Dragusin and Lucas Bergvall). Spurs have great pulling power and will no doubt attract more exciting talents to N17.
