Chris Sutton was amazed by the quality of Celtic’s performance in midweek, as they dispatched Motherwell 4-0 away from home.
The Bhoys put on an attacking clinic to win convincingly in the league at third-placed Motherwell and it means they stay seven points clear at the top ahead of second-placed Rangers, who have played a match less.
Odsonne Edouard opened the scoring from close-range in the first-half and the Scottish champions cashed in during the second period.
Leigh Griffiths added a second shortly after half-time, before influential playmaker Callum McGregor fired in a third from the edge of the box.
Edouard wrapped up the scoring in the 80th minute with a free-kick that cannoned in off the post and he now has 23 goals in 37 games across all competitions this season.
The 22-year-old French striker has been in stunning form since returning from the winter break and is partnering well in attack next to Griffiths.
Pundit Sutton picked out Edouard for yet another excellent contribution and even made a comparison to Celtic great Henrik Larsson, who is regarded as one of the best stars to ever play at Parkhead.
“Celtic brilliant tonight… some of the football tonight breathtaking. Edouard the closest thing to Larsson I’ve seen in a Celtic jersey… so unselfish, a team player, deadly finisher,” Sutton wrote on his personal Twitter account.

TBR’s View:
Despite being a potent goalscorer, there can be no arguments that Edouard is an unselfish player and is the type of centre-forward that has a bit of everything to his game.
His return of 16 assists so far this season proves that he’s not just a finisher around the box and he’s willing to set up a teammate if he’s in a better position.
The striker opted in the second-half against Motherwell to set up Olivier Ntcham for an effort that he missed in the box, but most other attackers in the world would have had eyes for goal.
Celtic fans need to keep enjoying goal machine Edouard while he’s in their ranks, as he is surely going to be attracting interest from elsewhere if he keeps performing at the same rate.
